Recently, various organizations have put their heads together to see what is still possible in this corona time. Various working groups have been set up to look together at how we can support people who are alone a lot or can use help. The working groups look at possibilities to bring people into contact with each other digitally, creative activities to bring people something fun, how we reach people and practical help such as shopping. Activities come from the working groups and you can find them here.

Help - less mobile residents - drive to the vaccination site!
ANWB AutoMaatje Vught offers the opportunity to drive less mobile residents of Vught, Cromvoirt and Helvoirt to the Covid-19 vaccination location.
Would you also like to contribute to carrying out these special trips and offer help to less mobile residents in your area, sign up as a driver or planner. You will receive an expense allowance of €0.30 per kilometer for the journeys and any parking costs.

Grocery service for people who can't do their own shopping now
Due to the restrictive corona measures that apply now, Vught has Helped for Each Other! a grocery shopping service. This shopping service is for people in the municipality of Vught who are in quarantine or people who don't dare to go shopping because they are in a risk group. Ten shopping volunteers from Vught Helps Each Other! are ready to help you.
How do you request the shopping service?
- You contact Vught Helps Each Other! by phone 06 51 86 66 60
- An employee of Welzijn Vught will speak to you and discuss when you need the groceries.
- The employee of Welzijn Vught informs one of the ten shopping volunteers
- This shopping volunteer will call you to agree on the details
- You pay by bank transfer afterwards or, if you prefer, in cash in advance (in an envelope with the shopping list)
Important conditions:
- There is a maximum amount of € 50.00.
- The volunteer may never ask for your pass (and/or PIN).
- You will always receive a receipt.

boxes of happiness
Make a personal box of happiness for someone you love, someone you love or someone you don't know but who deserves a special gift. This is a new project in which Judith Abels, theater designer and visual artist, once again invites the residents of Vught, Cromvoirt and Helvoirt to connect with someone else. Making a box of happiness for someone else, in which you create a world that supports the other in this difficult time. Earlier, Abels made the Freedom Skirt for Vught Celebrates 75 years of Freedom with many residents and students from the municipality of Vught. Which will be on display at National Monument Kamp Vught from March to October 2021.
Everyone knows someone who deserves just a little more attention, because you can't get to them enough, for example, or because that person is lonely, is sick or has worries. Especially since corona makes life more difficult together. In a box of happiness you create a personal image that you suspect will make the other person smile or even dream away in it, because it gives him or her a different view of the world. As small as a box is, it can just open that one window and let happiness pour in.

Judith Abels, in collaboration with Plaza Cultura, invites all residents of the municipality of Vught, young and old, to participate in the Boxes of Happiness project. Create a little happiness in the living rooms of loved ones and fellow residents! Use your own creativity, materials and techniques for this; cut, saw, fold, prick or sew... Put it in a box, tin, box, butter dish, whatever you have available and find suitable. You give your box to your recipient at a time that suits you. art comrade
How do we bring the power of art to people who can now use a helping hand?Plaza Cultura would like to build a bridge with the Kunst Kameraad(je) project. As a marketplace for cultural education and culture coaches, they want to bring artists and Vught residents together in a vulnerable situation (with an appropriate distance). This is done in collaboration with various organizations from the municipality.
The Art Comrade(you) trajectory provides encounters between a vulnerable person/family and an artist. From these encounters, the artist, possibly together with the comrade, develops a small work of art for this person: a song, poem, painting, photo, drawing or something else. A small, personal and artistic gesture.

On King's Day, 370 residents of Vught, Cromvoirt and Helvoirt received a letterbox package with a beautiful orange bouquet of tulips, a flag and card. Unfortunately, we celebrated King's Day at home this year, but with this package we hope to have brightened people up.
This was made possible in part by the Oranjefonds, Ouderen Samen, ABZ Foundation, Stichting Met je hart – Den Bosch/Vught, Seniorenbus Vught and Welzijn Vught.
