the friends job team
Due to financial, psychological or physical problems, jobs that are important for happiness in life are sometimes left behind for years. Think, for example, of a bedroom that needs to be refurbished, a neglected garden or a shed with a leaking roof. After completing the job, however small and unimportant it may seem, the positive motivation to get moving again sometimes just returns.
Since December 2018, a small group of friends has been active in Vught who do free jobs for people who could use a helping hand. In 2017, this group of friends already organized a successful aid campaign for elderly care in Moldova with great pleasure. After returning home from a week of odd jobs in this poorest country in Europe, they were sure that they could mean something to others closer to home.
In the Mariton Foundation they found the perfect contact point to offer their help to the right target group; people who could really use a practical helping hand. As of today, they have joined our community, so…. We Embrace the DIY team! FriendsKlusTeamVught for where it is really needed.
The DIY team tries to work with free or second-hand materials as much as possible. Fortunately, the DIY team is sometimes surprised by helpful shopkeepers or construction chains who offer their products for such a job for free or at a significant discount. If some material has to be bought, there is a small budget for this. Sometimes residents can also contribute something themselves.
People with a (medium-sized) job that the team can complete in a maximum of 1 day can register via the administrators of Ruilhoekje Wij Omarmen . Wij Omarmen will assess the job and the application to determine whether it fits the target group of the VriendenKlusTeam. A message will follow as soon as possible whether the job will be passed on to the job team, after which they will contact you to schedule the job.
